"Four Freedoms for People with Disabilities"
Adopted and Advocated by Special Recreation for disABLED International

I. Freedom from Prejudice and Injustice

For people with disabilities freedom from prejudice, bias, bigotry, injustice, and inequality born of apprehension, fear, ignorance, misunderstand, inequity, and injustice.

II. Freedom from Want of Necessities of Daily Living

For people with disabilities who live in poverty freedom from want of basic physical necessities of clothing, medical treatment and health care, housing, nutrition, and transportation.

III. Freedom from Want of Rehabilitation

For people with disabilities freedom from want of medical, educational, recreational, social, and vocational rehabilitation services and related technology, assistive, informational, and computer.

IV. Freedom from Want of Community Participation

For people with disabilities freedom from want of equal participation in the life of their community and nation, culturally, creatively, educationally, ethnically, medically, politically in suffrage, family and propagation, nutrition adequate to daily needs, play and recreation, protection, social security, spiritually, and vocationally.
